Account Executive, of Ticket Sales for Collegiate Consulting at Seattle University

Job Summary/General Description:

Collegiate Consulting has partnered with Seattle University to increase ticket revenue by soliciting season tickets, group tickets, single-game and premium packages to area businesses and other organizations with a primary focus on Men’s Basketball.  As an Account Executive (AE) for Collegiate Consulting, you will be based within the Seattle University Athletic department and will be responsible for increasing athletic ticket revenue by selling season tickets, group tickets, single-game tickets and premium packages to area businesses and other organizations for men’s basketball.  The Account Executive will be a teachable, positive and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sports sales industry leader and who understands that driving ticket sales revenue is his or her No. 1 goal. Revenue will be generated primarily via outbound phone calls and will be supplemented with email marketing, B2B partnerships, face-to-face presentations and in-arena tours. The Account Executive will be a Collegiate Consulting employee, working on campus at Seattle University.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform outbound calls for Seattle University Athletics with a concentration on Men’s Basketball.  Inventory which is available for sale includes, but not limited to Season Tickets, Season Ticket upgrades and Add-ons, Group Tickets, Partial/ Mini-Plan Ticket Packages, and Single game tickets.  Successful candidates should:

  • Call current and past customers and cold-call new sales leads to generate sales
  • Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, corporate, partial plans and group ticket plans
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service
  • Grow sales significantly each week by attracting additional business leads
  • Make 80 outbound calls daily
  • Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service
  • Availability to work Athletic events including home games and special events
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by General Manager

Qualifications (educational requirements, certification or licensing standards, experience and basic knowledge requirements):

  • Desire to start and grow a career in the sports ticket sales industry or collegiate athletics
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail oriented
  • Previous customer service or sales experience; display a genuine desire to help people
  • Be able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunities
  • Ticketmaster Archtics ticketing software experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
  • Professional image and demeanor
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
  • Independently take action beyond what is called for
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule

COMPENSATION:  30 hour a week/8 month position.  Hourly + commission.

Assistant GM of Ticket Sales for Seattle University Athletics

As an Assistant General Manager (GM) of Ticket Sales & Service for Collegiate Consulting, you will be based within the Seattle University Athletic department and will be responsible for increasing athletic ticket revenue by selling season tickets, group tickets, single-game tickets and premium packages to area businesses and other organizations for men’s basketball.  The Assistant GM will be a teachable, positive and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sports sales industry leader and who understands that driving ticket sales revenue is his or her No. 1 goal. The Assistant GM will be a Collegiate Consulting employee, working on campus at Seattle University and reporting to the GM of Ticket Sales & Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving ticket sales & renewal goals annually.
  • Make cold calls to area companies and organizations to set up appointments to sell season tickets, mini-plans, and groups.
  • Effectively manage various group assets / experiences in order to maximize group ticket sales at all home games.
  • Effectively prospect and execute programs to sell blocks of season tickets.
  • Develop and maintain a personal client base of ticket sales prospects and customers.
  • Grow internet marketing list
  • Service customers at all events.
  • Attend trade shows and outside presentations.
  • Answer incoming calls during current promotions (TV, radio, news).
  • Sell other special projects when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by GM.

Qualifications (educational requirements, certification or licensing standards, experience and basic knowledge requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration or business field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in ticket sales with collegiate and/or professional sports team.
  • Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in ticket sales
  • Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with Paciolan and Ticketmaster/Archtics ticketing systems preferred.
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as ACT, Goldmine, Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required.

This position is a salary + bonus and benefited after the first 90 days.
